Build Your First Form: From Idea to Published Link

A step-by-step guide to planning, building, testing and publishing your first HEZZ form.

By HEZZ Editorial TeamOctober 10, 2026

A useful form begins with a clear goal. Decide what you need to learn, then ask only for information that helps you reach that goal.

1. Choose a purpose

For example, a customer feedback form might collect a rating, one open-ended comment, and an optional contact email.

2. Create the form

  1. Sign in to HEZZ and open My forms.
  2. Choose the workspace where responses should live.
  3. Create a new form and enter a descriptive title.
  4. Add your questions and mark only essential fields as required.

3. Preview before sharing

Test your form on both a desktop browser and a phone. Check that labels are understandable, the submit button works, and your form does not request unnecessary information.

4. Publish and collect responses

Publish the form when it is ready, share its link with your intended audience, and review incoming submissions in your HEZZ data sheets.

Tip: One well-written question often gives better answers than three vague questions.
