Accounts & security
7 questionsCreating your account
Select Get started on the homepage and complete the registration form. Use an email address you can access. If email verification is requested, enter the code from your email. If a message does not arrive, contact support.
- Step 1
From the HEZZ homepage, choose Get started.
- Step 2
Enter your name, email address and a strong password in the registration form.
- Step 3
Submit the form and follow any on-screen email verification instructions.
- Step 4
Return to Sign in after completing the registration process.
Check the spelling of your email before submitting; verification messages are sent to that address.
Email verification and missing codes
Verification codes protect account ownership. Check your inbox and spam folder and confirm the address was entered correctly. Do not share verification codes. If delivery fails, contact support. Email delivery depends on the site's configured mail service.
- Step 1
After registering, check the inbox of the email address you entered.
- Step 2
Look for a HEZZ verification message and check the spam or promotions folders if needed.
- Step 3
Enter the code on the verification screen, if one is displayed.
- Step 4
If the email does not arrive, use any available resend option or contact Support.
Never share a verification code with another person. Delivery depends on the configured mail service.
Keeping your account secure
Use a unique password. Verify your email address using the six-digit code sent by HEZZ. Contact support if you cannot access your account. Never share verification codes or passwords.
Passwords and account safety
Choose a long, unique password and avoid reusing it on other sites. Do not share your password or verification codes. Sign out on shared devices. If you suspect someone accessed your account, contact support promptly.
- Step 1
Use a unique, long password for your HEZZ account.
- Step 2
Review your account information under Settings and check for unexpected changes.
- Step 3
Sign out of HEZZ when using a shared or public device.
- Step 4
If you suspect unauthorized access, contact Support promptly.
HEZZ support should never ask you to disclose your password or verification code.
Protecting respondent information
Collect only information needed for your purpose. Limit access to forms and exported responses, and avoid sharing CSV files publicly. Review your organization's privacy obligations before collecting sensitive information.
- Step 1
Before creating a form, decide which personal details are truly necessary.
- Step 2
Avoid requesting sensitive data unless you have a legitimate reason and suitable safeguards.
- Step 3
Limit access to workspaces and downloaded response files.
- Step 4
Review your privacy notice and retention obligations before sharing the form publicly.
CSV files can be copied easily; do not leave exports on shared computers.
Signing in and signing out
Choose Sign in from the homepage and enter your registered credentials. When you finish, use Sign out from the account navigation, especially on a shared computer.
- Step 1
Select Sign in on the HEZZ homepage.
- Step 2
Enter your registered email address and password.
- Step 3
After signing in, open the Dashboard to reach your workspace.
- Step 4
On a shared computer, choose Sign out from the account navigation when finished.
Never save your password in a browser on a shared computer.

Open Settings to review your profile information. Update fields that are editable and select Save changes. Some sensitive account changes may not yet be supported; the page will indicate unavailable options.
- Step 1
Sign in and choose Settings in the workspace sidebar.
- Step 2
Review the Profile section and find the fields that can be edited.
- Step 3
Update your full name or other enabled fields and select Save changes.
- Step 4
Check the confirmation and refresh the page to verify that the saved information appears.
Email and password changes may be unavailable in your installed release; check the Security section.
Workspaces
2 questionsUnderstanding workspaces
Workspaces group your forms and their responses. Open My Workspaces to see the workspaces available to your account. Each form belongs to a workspace.
- Step 1
Open My workspaces from the sidebar.
- Step 2
Review the list of workspaces available to your account.
- Step 3
When creating a form, select the workspace where it belongs.
- Step 4
Return to My workspaces when you need to review its organization or access.
Keep related forms in the same workspace to make them easier to find.
Workspace access and permissions
Workspace access determines which members can manage shared work. Available roles and permissions depend on the current HEZZ release. Do not assume a user can see a workspace until their access is confirmed.
- Step 1
Open My workspaces and select the relevant workspace if it offers a detail view.
- Step 2
Review any membership or access options shown in your installed version.
- Step 3
Check whether the intended member can see the workspace with their own account.
- Step 4
If access cannot be changed from the interface, contact your workspace administrator.
Access controls vary by release; do not assume a shared link grants editing permission.
Form builder
8 questionsAdding and arranging form fields
Open a form in the editor. Add the question or input types offered there, provide clear labels, and set required fields when appropriate. Review the order and wording before publishing.
- Step 1
Open My forms and choose the form you want to edit.
- Step 2
In the editor, add a field using the input types available in your release.
- Step 3
Write a short, descriptive label and configure options such as required answers where supported.
- Step 4
Arrange the fields in a logical order, save, and test the form as a respondent.
Put essential questions first and avoid asking for information you do not need.
Create your first form
Open My Forms, enter a form name, select a workspace, and choose Create form. Open the new form in the editor to add questions. Save your changes and publish when the form is ready to collect responses.
- Step 1
Open My forms from the sidebar.
- Step 2
In Create a form, enter a clear form name such as Customer Feedback.
- Step 3
Choose the correct workspace from the Workspace selector and select Create form.
- Step 4
Open the newly created form, add your questions, save your changes, and publish when ready.
Before sharing, submit a sample response and confirm it appears in Data sheets.
Drafts and published forms
Draft forms are intended for editing before they are shared. Publish a form when you are ready for respondents to use it. Check the form's status in My Forms before distributing its link.
- Step 1
Open My forms and locate the form you are preparing.
- Step 2
Check whether its current status is draft or published.
- Step 3
Edit and test the form while it is a draft.
- Step 4
Use the publish control when the form is ready, then test its public URL.
Only distribute a public link after checking the published form on another device.
Editing an existing form
Open My Forms and select the form you want to update. Use the editor to make changes and save them. After editing, test the public form to ensure questions still behave correctly.
- Step 1
Open My forms and select the form to update.
- Step 2
Open the form editor and locate the question or setting that needs changing.
- Step 3
Make your edits and save the form.
- Step 4
Open the public form and test it again, particularly if the form already has responses.
Changing question labels can make old and new response columns harder to compare.
How to create a form
Open My Forms, choose a workspace and create a form. In the form editor add questions, mark important questions as required, then publish when ready. Use the public link to collect responses.
Required and optional questions
Mark only essential questions as required. Optional questions let respondents skip information they do not wish to provide. Test the form before sharing to ensure the required-field rules work as expected.
- Step 1
Open the relevant form in the editor.
- Step 2
Choose a question that respondents must answer to complete the form.
- Step 3
Enable its required setting if the field type offers one; leave nonessential questions optional.
- Step 4
Save and test by submitting the form with that question left blank.
Too many required questions can discourage respondents from finishing.
Sharing a published form
Open the published form and copy its public URL. Share that URL with your intended respondents. Open it in a private browser window to check what a visitor sees.
- Step 1
Open My forms and confirm the form is published.
- Step 2
Open the published form and copy its public URL from the available link or browser address bar.
- Step 3
Paste the link into your email, website or message to respondents.
- Step 4
Open the link in a private browser window to confirm visitors can access it.
Do not share an editing or administrator URL with respondents.
Testing your form before sharing
Review every question, required field, and submission flow. Test on a phone as well as a desktop browser. Submit a sample response and check that it appears in Data sheets.
- Step 1
Open the form you want to test and review every question.
- Step 2
Check the required fields and try submitting incomplete answers to verify validation.
- Step 3
Complete and submit one realistic test response from a phone or private window.
- Step 4
Open Data sheets, select the form and confirm the new response is visible.
Test again whenever you change a published form.
Templates
6 questionsCreating a customer feedback form
In Templates, choose Customer feedback. Review the included questions, adjust wording to suit your audience, and publish after testing. Keep feedback questions concise.
- Step 1
Open Templates and find Customer feedback.
- Step 2
Choose the target workspace and select Use template.
- Step 3
Edit the questions to focus on the experience you want to measure.
- Step 4
Publish, share the public form link, and review submissions in Data sheets.
Use a mix of short rating questions and an optional open comment.
Getting started with the invoice template
In Templates, choose Invoice and select a workspace. Create the form from the template, then inspect customer, date, line-item, and notes fields. Customize it to match your invoicing workflow.
- Step 1
Open Templates and find the Invoice template.
- Step 2
Choose a workspace and select Use template.
- Step 3
In My forms, open the new invoice form and review customer name, invoice date and line items.
- Step 4
Customize the questions, submit a sample invoice and review the result in Data sheets.
Check currency and tax requirements separately; a form template is not accounting advice.
Saving a form as a reusable template
On Templates, find Save an existing form as a template. Select one of your forms and save it. Reuse the template to create a new form without rebuilding the same questions.
- Step 1
Open Templates and scroll to Save an existing form as a template.
- Step 2
Use Choose a form to select the form you want to reuse.
- Step 3
Select Save template and confirm the new template appears in the available templates.
- Step 4
Use the saved template to create another form when needed.
A template copies the form design, not necessarily its previous responses.
Using ready-made form templates
Open Templates and choose a built-in template, such as customer feedback, invoice, employee onboarding, or expense report. Select a workspace and choose Use template. Review and customize the resulting form.
- Step 1
Open Templates from the workspace sidebar.
- Step 2
Choose a built-in template that matches your task, such as Invoice or Customer feedback.
- Step 3
Select a workspace under that template and choose Use template.
- Step 4
Open the new form in My forms and customize its questions before publishing.
Templates are starting points; review every question before collecting real responses.
Using the employee onboarding template
Choose Employee onboarding from Templates. Review each requested field before sharing with new employees. Do not collect confidential employee details unless you have appropriate protections and a valid reason.
- Step 1
Open Templates and select Employee onboarding.
- Step 2
Choose a workspace and create the form from the template.
- Step 3
Review each field and remove any unnecessary personal or confidential questions.
- Step 4
Test the form before sharing it with new employees.
Follow applicable workplace privacy and data-protection requirements.
Using the expense report template
Choose Expense report from Templates. Customize the fields to capture your organization's expense details, test the submission process, and review entries through Data sheets.
- Step 1
Open Templates and choose Expense report.
- Step 2
Select a workspace and create the form.
- Step 3
Customize the fields to capture expense dates, amounts, categories and notes as needed.
- Step 4
Submit a sample entry, then review or export the responses in Data sheets.
Agree on a consistent date and currency format before your team starts submitting.
Data sheets & responses
6 questionsExporting responses as CSV
Select a form in Data sheets and choose Export CSV. The downloaded CSV can be opened in spreadsheet software. Handle exported files carefully because they may contain personal information.
- Step 1
Open Data sheets from the sidebar.
- Step 2
Choose the form whose responses you want to export.
- Step 3
Select Export CSV and wait for the browser download.
- Step 4
Open the downloaded file in Excel or another spreadsheet program and check the columns.
CSV exports may contain personal data. Store and share downloaded files securely.
Finding responses in a data sheet
Open Data sheets and choose the relevant form. Use Find in sheet to filter visible rows. Open an individual response to review its details.
- Step 1
Open Data sheets and select the correct form.
- Step 2
Locate the Find in sheet field above the response table.
- Step 3
Type a name, value or other text to filter the visible rows.
- Step 4
Clear the filter to display all available rows again.
Filtering the visible table does not delete or change any response.
How table answers are stored
Some forms collect tabular answers. HEZZ stores these structured answers in the response record. Open the response details to inspect them; the summary sheet may show a simplified value.
- Step 1
Open Data sheets and select the form with a table question.
- Step 2
Locate the relevant submission row in the sheet.
- Step 3
Open the response details to inspect the structured table answer.
- Step 4
Use the detailed response rather than relying only on the summary cell.
A summary column may show a simplified value instead of the entire table.
Troubleshooting missing submissions
Confirm the form is published and test its public link. Submit a sample response, then select that form in Data sheets. If the submission does not appear, contact support with the form name and approximate submission time.
- Step 1
Confirm that the form is published and open its public URL.
- Step 2
Submit a test response and check whether the form displays a confirmation.
- Step 3
Open Data sheets and select that exact form.
- Step 4
If the response is still missing, report the form name and approximate submission time to Support.
Check that you selected the correct form; similar form names can be confusing.
Understanding Data sheets
Data sheets show form submissions as rows. Open Data sheets, select a form, and choose Open sheet. The available columns reflect that form's questions and response metadata.
- Step 1
Open Data sheets in the sidebar.
- Step 2
Select a form using the Form dropdown.
- Step 3
Choose Open sheet to display its response table.
- Step 4
Read each submission as a row and open a response when you need more details.
Some structured answers appear in more detail inside the individual response.
View and export responses
Open My Forms and select the form. Submitted responses appear below its fields. Open a response to review its answers or export responses as CSV.
Support & troubleshooting
6 questionsFollowing up on a support request
Return to Support to check your existing tickets. Open a ticket to read updates and reply with additional information. Keep related information in the same conversation where possible.
- Step 1
Open Support while signed in to your account.
- Step 2
Find your existing ticket in the support list and open it.
- Step 3
Read the latest response from the support team.
- Step 4
Reply with any requested details and check the ticket again later for updates.
Keep replies about the same issue in the same ticket so the history remains together.
Getting help with a ticket
Open Support, create a ticket and explain your issue. You can follow the conversation and reply to support staff from the ticket page.
Opening a support ticket
Open Support and enter a descriptive subject. Choose a category and priority, explain the problem, and select Create ticket. Include the affected page and steps to reproduce the issue, but never include passwords.
- Step 1
Open Support from the sidebar or Contact support from Help Center.
- Step 2
Enter a subject that identifies the issue and select its category and priority.
- Step 3
Describe what happened, which page was affected and what you expected to happen.
- Step 4
Select Create ticket and retain the ticket for future replies.
Include screenshots when possible, but never include passwords, codes or secret API keys.
Searching the Help Center
Use the search field at the top of Help Center to search article titles and content. Try a short phrase such as 'export CSV', 'publish', or 'verification'.
- Step 1
Open the Help Center.
- Step 2
Enter a short keyword or phrase in Search questions and answers.
- Step 3
Use Browse by category to narrow the list to a relevant topic.
- Step 4
Select the plus icon beside a question to expand its tutorial without leaving the page.
Try terms such as CSV, publish, password or template.
Troubleshooting pages that look broken
First refresh the page. If styles are missing or a page behaves unexpectedly, try a private window and clear cached site files. If the issue continues, create a support ticket with the URL, browser, and a screenshot.
- Step 1
Refresh the affected page once to rule out a temporary loading issue.
- Step 2
If styling or controls still appear broken, try a private browser window.
- Step 3
Check whether the problem happens on another device or browser.
- Step 4
If it continues, open Support and report the URL, browser name, approximate time and screenshot.
A page showing HTTP 500 is a server error and may need an administrator to inspect the error log.
Using HEZZ on mobile devices
HEZZ pages are designed for mobile browsers. Open the site in your phone browser, use the navigation menu, and scroll through long forms or data sheets as needed. Test public forms on the devices your respondents use.
- Step 1
Open HEZZ in Safari, Chrome or another current mobile browser.
- Step 2
Use the site menu to open Dashboard, My forms or Help Center.
- Step 3
Scroll vertically through forms and use any horizontal table scrolling inside Data sheets.
- Step 4
Before sharing a form, submit a test response from a phone to verify readability.
Avoid making form questions so long that they become difficult to read on small screens.
